Conquest 1453 is a historical film depicting the 15th century Muslim hero Sultan Muhammad II and his heroic role in the conquest of Constantinople.
Directed by Farooq Aksoy, this Turkish film was released in cinemas in 2012 and has been well received in the Muslim world since then.
Within three weeks, Fateh 1453 became the most viewed film in Turkey.
The film begins with a flashback to the time of the Prophet, in which Abu Ayyub tells the other companions that one day a blessed army under the leadership of a blessed commander will conquer Constantinople.
The demands of the film required the makers to dub in several regional languages. Originally published in Turkish, it has been dubbed into several other languages including Urdu or Hindi and English.
